The Electronic Feed Equipment Module is developed for integration with a variety of equipment companies.  This enables the AgroSoft Pocket Pig program to manage feed for both electronic sow feeding (ESF) and liquid feeding.

The integration is individually tailored to the different systems and the features will be different for each Company.

Electronic Sow Feeding (ESF):

After a gilt enters the herd, an RFID eartag is attached and the eartag is read by the MultiReader.  From here a link between the gilt number and the transponder number is made.  Proper identification is important to place the gilt on the right feed plan.

When the gilt enters the breeding barn, she is taken off the feed computer in WinPig.  When the gilt returns to the gestation unit, she is connected with the appropriate transponder feeder and feed plan within the PocketPig program.

The AgroSoft PocketPig and MultiReader can be used to create new animals, change ear tags, see the last event and track the last 5 meals sizes for each animal.  The feed quantity can be checked and compared to the feed plan.  Finally you can change the feed plan or quantity from the PDA.  

The sows for farrowing is shown through a worklist in PocketPig.  When the sows for farrowing are moved in the transponder feeder, they can be taken off the feeder.  These sows can be adjusted as a group through the worklist in PocketPig.  Also the activities in the farrowing unit can be recorded with the same equipment. 

Liquid feeding sows.

For liquid feeding systems the sows eartag is connected to the feeder location.  During the gestation or lactation period the sow can change location and the feed can be adjusted according the feed plan.

Liquid feeding weaning / finishing.

When pigs are weaned in a liquid feeding system, the number of pigs at each feed station is recorded and put on the feed plan.  When pigs are moved, the feed is automatically adjusted.  When the pigs are moved to the finishing units, the number of pigs is again linked to the feeder and the feed is automatically adjusted when pigs are taken out of the pen for slaughter.

Wireless Synchronization.

To avoid double entry while using several PDA's at the same time, AgroSoft has developed an AgroSync function that will synchronize your PocketPig data with the WinPig data.
